- This vehicle features in the Summer Nuke Fest mission, as the player needs the nuclear bomb that's on the back of it. After that, it becomes a regular opponent.
- The Fortress is another vehicle in the Tozzer comic. It was driven at a TDR race against Bumble Bee, Dragula and the Eagle MK4, but all of them except the Eagle were crippled in a head on collision with a wall.
- "Fort Knox" is the common name for the United States Bullion Depository, next to a US Army base of the same name. It's well known as the most secure bank in the world.
