- This guy is a clear reference to Space Ghost. The red triangular logo all over the car, the white bodywork, the bad pun for a name... it all fits. Space Spectre was Space Ghost's arch nemesis.
- Even the original 60s cartoon opened with a cry of "SPAAAAAACE GHOOOOOST!".
- This is the weakest vehicle in the game. It's very fast but is hard to handle and gets wasted by even the slightest collision with any object. Its trike design also makes it easy to pin against a wall.
- A car from the Twisted Metal games is also called Spectre.
